Badong tells a folk story that his father used to tell him to his sister, Loding as she asks for help in her English subject assignment.

Synopsis

'Higante' revolves around the story of Badong and Melody (or Loding) who are now living independently due to the passing of their father. In the story, Badong tells an unfamous folk story about the higante, which his father used to tell him, to help her sister with her assignment. This story highlights the sacrifice of a breadwinner, the unbreakable bond of two siblings, and the intricate details that we sometimes overlook in the efforts of farmers, and the prejudice that they receive.   

Director's Intent

This is to show the struggles that a farmer could face under the harsh reality of power dynamics, mixed with the unfortunate events of his/her life.

Producer's Intent

To showcase the different layers of emotional, social, and psychological disturbance of a farmer as they face the harshness of life, while building up to the story of the success story of our subject.
