Synopsis

Mang Flordelino (Flor) Dagdag, Sr., a struggling farmer, faces extreme poverty while supporting his family of five. Forced to mortgage his land due to financial desperation, he continues laboring in tobacco fields and gathering firewood for income. Amid his hardships, rumors spread about his disappearance after he waits hours at a bus stop. A glimmer of hope arises when radio news announces the government’s debt resolution with PNB and the release of land titles, rekindling his family’s optimism. By 2024, the official land title awarding in Lingayen, Pangasinan, brings them long-awaited relief and joy.

Director's Intent

I chose to direct this short film to make the best out of the ARB's (Mr. Flordelino Dagdag) story, aiming to use it as a tool to inspire the audience to keep fighting against struggles in life. I want the audience to realize than those hardships they experience in life are tools awakening the extraordinary strength resting inside them.

Producer's Intent

To tell the inspiring story of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries and to inspire audiences about the impact of such programs in uplifting, giving hope, and providing support to people’s lives.
