Logline
A dedicated young girl witnesses the plight of farmers in her barangay and grows up being the daughter of a farmer, becoming the cooperative leader, overcoming doubt, financial difficulties, and exploitation to exemplify that unity and perseverance can turn hope into harvests.
Synopsis
In a barangay where farmers working hard by giving all their sweat and blood yet remain restrained by debt and uncertainty, Singising tells the true story of the Conconig East Farmers MPC, a cooperative built on determination and the refusal to surrender to hardship. Underneath the cooperative is Delia Evangelista, a young girl who once wondered why her father, Tatay Ernesto, worked tirelessly yet owned nothing. As she grows, she becomes the voice of hope for farmers like Ramona, Sandra, Pedro, Tomas, and other farmers who dream of breaking free from exploitation and the cycle of poverty that has trapped from generations of farmers. On May 21, 1997, with a capital share contribution of Php 2,800 and 19 pioneering members their cooperative rooted in a small sari-sari store serving as their office. Through persistence and the support of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) and Landbank, they challenge early struggles, and in 2001, DAR formally adapted the cooperative, providing trainings, seminars, equipment, and guidance to help it grow. More than just a story of farming, they depicted the image of power of unity, proving that when the perseverance of farmers rise together, they become invincible.
Director's Intent
I chose to direct this short film that gives real life to the journey of farmers who refused to give up, showing how their hard work, sacrifices, and determination, with the help of Department of Agrarian Reform turned a small cooperative into a lifeline for their families and future generations.

To vividly capture the real world of Conconig East farmers MPC, depicting their silent fight against poverty and uncertainty, showing the rise of hope in which they unified, persevered, and received DAR’s support as an Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organization (ARBO) turning their dreams into a lasting legacy for future generations.
